Quiet rooms for strong light.

Taller Ocre is an architecture and interiors practice in Madrid. Since 2014 we have designed houses, refurbished flats and small public buildings across Spain: thick walls, deep openings, materials that age well.

How we work

Three habits that shape every drawing we make.

01

Light first.

We draw the sun before we draw the walls. Every project starts with a study of the site: where the morning comes in, and where August needs shade.

02

Few materials, well made.

Lime, stone, solid timber, terracotta. A short palette, detailed with care, costs less to maintain and gets better with age.

03

Keep what works.

In refurbishments we keep original floors, ceilings and joinery wherever they still do their job. Demolition is the last resort, not the first move.
